Strumpängeln

Dotterbolaget

A poetic clown show where everyday socks meet classical music in a tale about friendship, what is yours or mine, about helping each other and ultimately spreading your wings.

A sulky little clown is about to take down socks from the clothesline all by themselves. It’s actually much more difficult than you might think. Luckily, there’s help from an unexpected place, when a sock angel appears. At first glance, the angel doesn’t even look like an angel. It seems it doesn’t even have wings..?

Most children know about socks. How they can be put on and taken off, sorted, and how far nylon stockings can stretch. In Strumpängeln, everyday socks meet classical music in a tale about friendship, what is yours or mine, about helping each other and ultimately spreading your wings. Since 2010, Dotterbolaget has produced clown and mask performances for children and adults. The company’s productions are distinguished by a clown tradition focusing on theater and storytelling.
